Description:

The amount of historical information on the web is consistently growing. New resources for historical statistics, primary documents, archival resources, photographs and artifacts offer historians great research options that are accessible from anywhere. In this two-hour online class, you will explore 20 history information web pages librarians use to answer questions like, “How many women lived in Polk County, Georgia, in 1920?” and, “Where can I find primary documents about the founding of the University of North Carolina?” Students will then have the opportunity to explore history reference resources further in an after-class exercise.
